Happily Ever After?

There is an expiry date on everything, even relationships. It all starts off being new, fun and exciting. However, if there is no connection, no understanding between two people, and the fun only last for so long. Then the expiry date of the relationship approaches. It is important to be able to recognize when you have reached that point, since you don’t want to stay in a relationship that has gone sour. That is just like agreeing to drinking sour, chunky milk. It is neither healthy, nor enjoyable.
When we are young, we are constantly presented with this image of finding a soul mate, falling in love and living happily ever after. I am not talking about the happily ever after like in Disney. No. The images that are portrayed to you by your own parents (if they are not divorced of course). They keep telling you that you will grow up, meet some perfect guy, marry him and live happily ever after like “your mommy and daddy have”.
This all of course begins when we are about 8 to 10 years old, when we have our first crushes “on that cute blonde guy in math class”. So then you spend the next eight to ten years of your life falling in love and falling back out of it, getting hurt, just to find that perfect someone. Thinking that all these images presented to you by your parents, chick flicks and everything else are bound to eventually happen. You are bound to start your happily ever after sometime soon, while in your late teens.
I am 20 now, and I know now that love doesn’t last forever. You cannot have the “love” that you have in the first year with your boyfriend and believe that it will last forever. It doesn’t. Marriage is just two people who can coexist and not kill each other after a couple of years. So if you are looking for that magical happily ever after, the soul mate, all I can say is good luck.

Just Saying Hi

Hello, The Interwebs
I am Insufficient Memory *wave*.
I have been wanting to create a blog for quite sometime. First, I wanted it about beauty, then about my personal thoughts, men, relationships, life, fashion. So I decided, to put it all together in a very random blog, and just share my thoughts as whatever it is I am feeling that day, week, month.
I am a university student, which means that I will be making the posts very randomly depending on the school work that I have.
I guess that is all I wanted to say for now...
